Neuropsychological & Psychoeducational Testing

I have a passion for disentangling the various factors that help and hinder a young person in their academic, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning in order to guide planning. For example, testing can help differentiate between an attention deficit and depression or determine whether a language delay is due to social shyness, autism, or cognitive delay. Further, a child may have difficulty reading because of an attention problem, a language disorder, an auditory processing problem, or a reading disability. Testing will provide a clearer understanding of the child’s behavior and learning in school and at home. The evaluation will, in turn, guide parents, teachers, and therapists or specialists to better help your child achieve their potential.

It is of utmost importance for me to build rapport in order to minimize anxious and resistant behaviors. This way I am able to elicit the child’s most representative performances.
